How do I check where a claim in an answer comes from?
Open the inline citation next to the claim to read the excerpt from your document that it is based on, with a page or section when available. You can also ask Search+ to trace a claim back to the passages that support it.
Each citation names the source document and shows the supporting excerpt, with a page or section reference when the document provides one. Reading the excerpt is the quickest way to confirm that the answer says what the document says.
For a claim you plan to rely on, ask a follow-up such as "Which passages support this?" in the same conversation. AI answers can be incomplete or inaccurate, so the excerpt, not the summary, is the evidence.
