Does Search+ make up citations?
Search+ citations point to passages it retrieved from your own documents, and it does not invent page or section locations that a document does not contain. The written answer can still be wrong, so read the excerpt.
Search+ is built so that the AI cites stable references to retrieved passages, which the app then resolves to the actual document and excerpt. That is different from a chatbot that writes a reference from memory.
A citation shows what the answer is based on; it does not prove the answer interpreted the passage correctly. Open the citation and compare the excerpt with the claim before relying on it.
