Search+ vs Anara
Anara is an AI workspace aimed at researchers, with Zotero, Mendeley, PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov connectors, folder collaboration, OCR on its Pro plan and per-seat plans from free to $200 a month. Search+ is a simpler document workspace: you upload documents, set standing instructions and ask questions with cited answers. If your work runs through reference managers and research databases, Anara is built for it. If you want a plain workspace for any kind of document project, Search+ is enough.

How Search+ and Anara differ
Anara connects to research tools
Anara connects to Zotero and Mendeley on its free plan, PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov on Plus, and Google Drive, Notion and OneDrive on Pro. Search+ has no integrations; you upload documents yourself.
Both read scanned documents
Anara Pro extracts text from images and scanned documents, and folders take collaborators (5 on Plus, 50 on Pro). Search+ reads scanned pages with OCR as well.
Search+ is not limited to academic work
Search+ treats every document the same way, whether it is a paper, a contract or a board deck, and Workspace Context lets you set the reading rules for each project. Anara's plans and connectors are aimed at scientific literature.
Anara sets per-upload size limits
Anara caps each upload at 20 MB or 120 pages on Free, 100 MB or 600 pages on Plus and 300 MB or 10,000 pages on Pro, with no limit on Max. Search+ accepts files up to 5 GB each, up to 10 per upload batch.
