AI document summarizer for a project's worth of documents

Search+ is an AI document summarizer built around projects rather than single files. You collect a project's documents as PDFs in one workspace, then ask for a summary of any one of them or of the whole set. Each statement in the summary is cited to the document and excerpt it came from. The workspace keeps the documents, your standing instructions and earlier summaries together, so the next summary you ask for starts from the same material.

Summaries you can ask a workspace for

Examples of summary requests at the project level. Answers depend on what your documents actually say.

Brief me on everything in this workspace

An overview of the collection: what each document covers and how they relate, with each sentence cited to the document it describes.

Summarize the latest document for someone new to the project

A summary written for a reader you describe, scoped to the one file you pick, with citations so the newcomer can read the original passages.

What has changed between the draft and the final version?

A short account of the differences the model finds between the two documents, with each difference cited to both sources where it can.

List the open questions these documents leave unanswered

A summary of gaps rather than content: points the documents raise but do not settle, each tied to the passage where it comes up.

What is an AI document summarizer?

An AI document summarizer uses a language model to condense written material into a shorter account. Most tools take one file, return one summary, and forget both. That works for a quick read, but projects rarely involve one file: a consultant has interview notes and reports, a researcher has a folder of studies, an analyst has drafts and final versions. Search+ treats summarizing as something you do repeatedly over a project's document set. The documents live in a workspace, Workspace Context records how you want summaries written, and every summary is a cited answer that you can check passage by passage.

Not the same as a writing assistant. Search+ summarizes and answers questions about documents you upload; it does not draft new documents or rewrite your files.

How to summarize a set of documents

  1. Set up one workspace per project

Create a workspace and name it after the project, client or topic. Archive it when the project ends.

  2. Add the project's PDFs

Drag and drop up to 10 PDFs at a time. Each file shows its status while it is processed in the background.

  3. Write your summary rules once

In Workspace Context, note what every summary should do, for example keep defined terms, flag uncertainty, or write for a non-specialist.

  4. Ask for the summary and follow up

Ask across the whole workspace or narrow the question to one document. Open the citations on anything you plan to repeat to others.

What you get from a project-level summarizer

One place for the whole document set

Create a workspace for each project and keep its documents together.

Summaries of one file or all of them

Ask across every document in a workspace, or narrow the question to a single document.

Standing instructions

Workspace Context applies your priorities, terminology or evidence standards to every question in that workspace.

Cited statements

Each statement in a summary points to the document and the supporting excerpt, so you can verify it.

Batch uploads

Add up to 10 PDFs in one drag and drop and keep working while they process.

History you can return to

Earlier summaries stay in your conversation history, searchable by name.

Themes across the set

Ask which themes and repeated claims run through the collection.

Limits to know before you start

Summaries stay in the app

There is no export button. Copy the summary text you need into your own document.

Check before you rely on it

AI answers can be incomplete or inaccurate, which is why every statement carries a citation.

Excerpts, not a page viewer

A citation opens the supporting excerpt. It does not jump to a page inside a full document viewer, so keep the original file open if you want to browse it.

AI document summarizer questions

Is there a free AI document summarizer in Search+?
You can sign up without entering payment details and start a workspace. Look in the app after sign-up for what your account includes; this page does not list plan terms.
Does it work online, or do I install something?
It runs in your web browser at app.searchplus.ai. There is no desktop or mobile app to install.
How is a workspace summary different from summarizing each file?
A workspace summary draws on every document at once, so it can say how the documents relate and which one supports which point. Each statement is cited to its source document.
Can I control how summaries are written?
Yes. Put your rules in Workspace Context, such as the audience, the length or terms to keep, and they apply to every question asked in that workspace.
Can I keep adding documents to the project?
Yes. Upload new PDFs to the same workspace whenever the project grows, then ask for an updated summary that includes them.
What if two documents in the project disagree?
Ask the workspace to point out where the documents differ. The answer cites each source separately, so you can read both passages and judge the disagreement yourself rather than getting one blended statement.
Can a summary focus on one topic across many documents?
Yes. Ask for a summary of a single topic, for example budget, risks or methods, across the whole workspace. Search+ looks for relevant passages by meaning, not only exact words, and cites the documents that discuss the topic.
Can I go back to a summary I asked for last week?
Yes. Conversations are saved with the workspace, so an earlier summary stays in your history. Reopen that thread from your conversation history, or search your conversations by name, and keep asking follow-up questions about the same documents without uploading them again.
Which documents can the summarizer read?
PDF, Word (DOCX) and Excel (XLSX) files can all go into a workspace, and OCR reads scanned documents, so a project made of mixed files and old scans can be summarized together. Each summary still cites the file and excerpt behind every point, whatever format it came from.
